Another Blog for today

We are debriefing and getting even closer to being home. What that means to most of us is that we are going to be away from this tight group of Christians and re-enter into a home life that may or may not be where we should be. Please take part in prayer for friendships that are uplifting and will help our Spiritual journey enhance. Pray that we become even more sensitive to Holy Spirit in our lives. Also pray that we would not look back at the silly things we did on this trip, but instead focus on the amazing things God changed in our lives.
One really cool thing someone told us was that in St.Georges (the city we are in currently) there was a person who heard about us from Grenville (the town we were in). She said something along the line of "Weren't you guys the ones from the kid's fun day". It was encouraging seeing the work we did known outside of the immediate bubble. Blessings and good night.

Mission Impossible

Baloney! We completed our mission!

Actually our time here has been amazing. We have left our home in St.Andrews and came to the city in St.Georges. We got to participate in the church service and do a skit and worship and teach. We learned about facing the giants (obstacles) in your life and allowing God to overcome any challenge. The kids we got to meet we miss already. We are all debriefing right now at a hotel right near the ocean. It is such a blessing to get to look back and see what all God has accomplished in each of our lives. On saturday we had a kids fun day and got to play with around forty kids and share with them.

Each on of the people on the team say HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!! We are blessed to be children with loving Mothers and hope you had a great day and are getting excited to see us soon.

God bless each of you, please pray for team unity to stay and that as we near the end that we would find people to lift us up in our Christian walk. Also pray for safety in our travels and our time here.

Love in Christ.

Day 16: Nat's Perspective

Hey guys back home,

So this trip so far has been an incredible experience. We have exercised patience and love with all the kids that come visit us, and endurance on the work cite. Ecclesiastes 2:24-25 says, "There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God, 25 for apart from him who can eat or who can have enjoyment?" I really am learning to enjoy the work God has given me on this earth, at times when you are tired it is a struggle to enjoy work, but something about doing things for the name of Jesus brings such satisfaction to our hearts. I am so proud with everyone on the team. The willingness of everyone is so inspiring to see and it pushes us further.
Sorry mum, but I'm not really looking forward to going back, but I just love the people here so much! We have made so many new friends and I am so sad that we are leaving so soon. God really has been doing so much in our lives and the lives of those around us.
All around, my highlight is spending time with the kids that come over to Sam's Inn every night, usually waiting at the gate for us to come back from dinner.

The Final Week

Wow. The progress made in the church has been amazing. We started out just pouring the cement only a few weeks ago and now we have almost all the rafters painted and most of the roof put on. It is very neat seeing that we went from having only one person experienced with construction to a full team of 18 all taking part in many things. We have had the opportunity to lay tiles, make benches, paint walls, put up scaffolding, mix cement (with shovels and gravel and water and by hand), carry cement, pour cement, carry more cement, mix more cement, pour more cement and mix more and carry more.... all while enjoying a nice hot day in the sun. The team got to go to our contact Reverend Jaque's house and after a delicious meal of chicken, rice, mango, macaroni pie and banana bread build as a team playing fun games for hours. The girls today got blessed by having the wisdom of the same Reverend pour into us as we talked about all the things in our life we are experiencing. Please continue to pray. We know that we are getting blessed with prayer because of the unity that is unreal on this team. As well I feel some of you must be praying for gifts to get newly surfaced or resurfaced because people are breaking out of their comfort zones and allowing God to be their strength. God bless all of you.
-PS. Each morning is great because we start with a little bit of worship and a team devotion to feed us for the day,
-pps. Please pray for more of a desire to want more God in each of our lives in every aspects.
Thanks once more. :)

May 3rd to 6th "Work and Play"

Long time no write. May 3rd was another successful work day. The sunday school building began to really take shape and our team got further on the painting job. Saturday came and some of our team continued to persevere on the work site while others lead children's ministry at a local church. We began this time with. Worship came together so beautifully and instead of just leading with a guitar, like we originally planned, we ended up having a full band. It was great to worship the Lord together with other Christians from Grenada. After worship we presented a teaching method called "the Gospel Box" to some children workers and demonstrated the wordless bracelet to some Children. This is where the real fun began. We brought children in from surrounding areas for some fellowship, face painting, and ballon fun. We saw God's hand at work here as well. We had over 100 hundred kids show, Rachelle and Alyssa persevered through two hours of face painting, and the word was spoken. Sunday was communion and fellowship with all of the foursquare churches in th area. Worship was amazing and powerful. Our team was blessed to be around for the instalment of a new lead pastor at Conference Foursquare church. This pastor brought the word forward in a powerful and engaging way, teaching us the importance of waiting on the Lord. The rest of the day was spent chilling out and doing small clean up jobs. Today was another work day. while the team worked, Dennis and Reverend Jaque presented over 1500 vitamins to the ministry of Health. Dennis even made it on Grenada television. We pray God blesses the coming week as we approach the final lap of ministry on this trip.

April 30 "Hot Sun and Buckets"

Tuesday was a good day. The team worked hard and got a lot of sun. As usual, we began our day with devotions. This morning we talked about the Word of God as our only real delight. On the work site, we spent our time filling a giant hole behind a reinforcing wall, and yes that meant another assembly line of buckets full of dirt. At night we joined our brothers and sisters from surrounding churches in a Bible study, finishing off the night with some mango ice cream.

The First Weekend

On Saturday we had a ladies and mens fellowship day at the church in Conference, and we shared our favourite passages in the Bible as well as anything that was on our hearts. It was a great opportunity to build friendships with the Grenadians and team members. Then we came back to the hotel for some worship. We also taught some of the youth how to play instruments. It was such a great day, and the people here are such a blessing for our team.

On Sunday we split up into three groups and helped out with the church services in Conference, Paradise, and St. Georges. It was a lot of fun, because it was quite different than the churches back home (the worship especially). We lead adult bible studies, children's sunday school, worship, and drimes. Then we came back to the hotel for some great fellowship with the youth and children that live in our area. Everything went very well, and we all got to see some great things that God was doing at each church.

Mom, Dad, Ty, and friends, I miss you all so much!! I can't wait to tell you about this crazy adventure! xoxo

Photo's as Promised

Here are some photo's of the place that we are staying. It is called Sam's Inn and located in St. Andrews here in Grenada. Some of our team is preparing to minister on Sunday at three separate churches. It is very cool getting to be apart of so many churches and the way our team stands to the challenge and offers up gifts that we didn't even know were there. The country is beautiful and the food has been great, (the chicken was delicious) and the people we have met are very amazing. Our days start off with worship and devotions before breakfast and is a very unifying time for our team. God bless all of you. -Rachelle Greiner (Also, the other camera's have more of our ministry work, and the cup photo is what we got as a welcoming present.)

Work Day 1

wowza'S!!!! to think we actually made it. And wow, are we ever treated like royalty. Our girls home is cozy, and fits us so well. Kitchen talk and prayer on arrival day was such a hopeful start. The first day at the site accomplished and heck it was just a party. The teams unity is so beautiful.
Returning to this incredible country, full of outstanding people has been nothing but a massive blessing! The church here and my friends from last year make me feel like i never left.

Love living for today
-Sam Gardham

(So for work we started construction. We had an assembly line and brought buckets full of cement (that we mixed by hand) and poured the flooring of the Sunday School that is being added onto the main church building. We started building the walls with cement blocks and had a very productive day. It was tiring and exhausting but our contact Reverend Jackie said that we were one of the most willing to work teams she has had. Our team is awesome and everyone has a great work ethic. )
(Photo's will come soon. Please email to contact the team at plbclifelaunch@gmail.com)

Safe and Sound

We have made it here to Grenada safe and sound. This trip was a huge answer to prayer. Firstly we had too many checked luggage bags because we were bringing in many vitamins (like 17 big boxes)into the country and the airport let us have the over baggage for free. Thank God. We flew from Seattle into Dallas, then into Miami and finally into Grenada. The transfer from Dallas from Miami was only about 10 minutes! We ran through the airport and got to the gate on time with a couple minutes to spare. No one got sick on any of the flights. On one flight we ordered sandwiches to share between people, when we attempted to pay the attendant she said later later later and finally at the end of the flight she said that we could get it for free. The day was long, as we drove through Grenada to the town of St.Andrews where we got into our rooms and settled for the night. Please keep praying as we see more miracles and blessings pour out on the team and the Grenadians.
Rachelle Greiner.

Carriers of Encouragement

Today is the day we left for Seattle. Excitement and anticipation fill the minds and emotions of the Lifelaunch team and even though everyone feels drained from life and the past school-year God is still faithful and works outside of our boxes. This morning began with worship and prayer. We spent some time encouraging each other through prayer and song. Lifting those who are under pressure up to God. It is a beautiful thing to be alerted by the Holy Spirit to pray for each other, our struggles and stresses. Packing seemed stressful at the time, but in the end we didn't exceed our weight limit. God also blessed us with a very quick and easy passage at the border. Soon we will all be asleep.

3 More Days!

Hey All!

So we are preparing for our trip to Grenada! 3 more days! I cannot believe how fast the time went by this semester. Today we all spent a good portion of our time with Dennis and in other meetings practising music and dance, getting office work completed and packing supplies! God has been so good to us, providing all that we asked for and much more to bring as gifts to the people in Grenada. Thank you Jesus

As we continue to prepare and pack please pray that our hearts would be at the ready, willing and open to what God intends to do in and through us on this trip. All glory belongs to God! Woot!
Emily Loney

Where we are Going

This is the Church that the Lifelaunch missions team did last year. We will be working with this church in building a Sunday school building as well as many other ministries. Here is the basics of what we will be doing…
One-on-one evangelism
Door-to-door walks/evangelism
Open air crusades–skits, dramas, testimony, worship
Children Sunday School Teachers
Adult Sunday School Teachers
Senior Preachers
Mature Leaders for Leadership Teaching
Of course, construction
We also have a healing service on Friday nights
What I need from you for support is Prayer. Please pray over each place I will be ministering in. Pray for safety. Pray for hearts to be readied.

Getting Ready

The Lifelaunch team is getting ready to go to Grenada while doing drama's, dance's, music and kids ministry preparation.
